Cruises on Boston Harbor
- Boston's Best Cruises' Sunset Cruise is spectacular. Beautiful views of the city from the boat.

State House
- Walking these historic halls and viewing murals and other reminders of our history is simply awesome. I never tire of visiting here. Stop in to the governor's office, or that of a state senator or representative. Thank them for their service. If you coordinate your visit with your senator or representative before visiting that will enhance your visit.

Cambridge Museums, Boston's 'Left Bank'
- The Glass Flowers at Harvard Museum of Natural History. These 3,000 plus glass models of flowering plants created by German glass artists in the late 19th century are so realistic, you'd swear they were real flowers. Go in the depths of winter for an instantaneous "lift" to your spirits.

North End
- Walking streets, in and out of bakeries and restaurants, I love the whole neighborhood. The best view is walking from downtown Boston and suddenly being in the North End.

History and Pastry
- The Old North Church where Paul Revere's lantern was hung and, nearby, the North End with over 300 Italian restaurants.

Love Boston!
- One of my favorite sights is Boston Common. We have absolutely zero park culture where I am from, and I love the idea of being able to go to a place where I can sit, relax, people watch and enjoy a beautiful city.

Harbor Islands
- Taking the ferry to Georges or Spectacle Island is a great way to unwind from the city's hustle bustle. And touring the islands feels worlds away from downtown. The city skyline as seen from the islands is breathtaking.

Winter in Quincy Market
- Nothing beats holiday shopping in Quincy Market. I spent a great night there with carolers & a light snowfall this winter. Just amazing!

Favorite Boston Sight
- Sam Adams Brewery is my favorite landmark. The tours are fun, and they give you free beer.

Too Hard to Pick One!
- My dad went to MIT and we've toured Boston with him twice. I love visiting the restaurants he ate at as a starving college student (Durgin-Park is one...my son got a huge kick out of their "Your grandfather probably ate here" slogan, because his did!) and the Paulist Center where he went to church. I also love Boston's old graveyards - Dad took us to so many of them! - I am now our family historian and really appreciate the stories I find in cemeteries. Seeing the gravesites of people who lived before the Revolutionary War is an amazing experience for me. I also love the Charles River - my dad learned to sail on the river and he taught my kids to sail there, too. Standing on the dock, it's easy to imagine Paul Revere watching the British ships pull in to anchor. It's also fun to see the bridge that was made famous by MIT student Oliver Smoot - it's the Mass. Ave. Bridge - definitely look up the story if you're not familiar with it! So very, very MIT...
