I shot two dozen moose during my June 2009 visit to Bennington, Vermont... with my camera, of course! If you're looking for a free, fun way to spend a day, head to southwestern Vermont this summer or fall for Bennington Moosefest 2009, a public display of dozens of life-sized fiberglass moose painted by artists.
Each moose is unique, as you'll see in this Moosefest photo gallery (click any image for a larger view), and there are many more moose we didn't get a chance to see, so you're in for a treat if you plan a moosecapade of your own.
Moosefest runs through October 17, 2009, when the moose will be sold at auction to raise funds for several Vermont charities. If you've dreamed of having the coolest moose in town in your front yard, you'll want to bid on one of these wonderful creations. My favorites: Vincent, Moosey BB Goode & Green, Captain Jack Mooso and, of course--Robomoose!
