Needle Felting Kits Made in Maine
The needle felting kits made by Maine's Romney Ridge Farm are all so cute, I couldn't choose. So, I bought three: puffins, rabbits and pigs.

Needle felting (or wool felting) is a craft technique for creating three-dimensional sculpted objects out of wool fibers. If you're new to this creative process, Romney Ridge Farm Yarn Co.
--appropriately located in Woolwich, Maine--makes it easy to get started, with complete needle felting kits
featuring wool grown and dyed in Maine, wool felting eggs, felting needles and instructions to create cute, colorful creatures.
Priced from $24 as of 2013 for kits that make two or more animals, gnomes or even Santa and an elf, they're a perfect made in New England gift for crafty adults and older kids. When I met Romney Ridge Farm Yarn Co.'s owner Kelly Corbett at the Old Deerfield Craft Fair, she assured me my 10-year-old daughter will have no trouble following the directions on her own. But I love puffins, too! So, I'm hoping this fun craft kit will keep us both entertained on a winter's day in New England.
