Jacuzzi tubs and plasma screen televisions aren't the only luxury amenities you'll find in the extraordinarily spacious bathrooms at The Chanler. Each bathroom, like each room, has been meticulously designed. In the Mediterranean Suite, where I stayed, the double shower featured multi-head sprays for two, and the shower wall featured a mythological scene hand-painted on tiles.

All bathrooms have radiant heating in the floors, so your feet will be toasty warm when you step out of the shower or tub, even on blustery winter days by the sea. Hair and body products by Penhaligon's of London are provided. I almost hesitated to use the embossed toilet paper.
