Old Orchard Beach Attractions and Family Amusements

Family Fun awaits at this amusement park located just minutes from Old Orchard Beach in Saco, Maine. Choose admission to either Funtown, Splashtown or both.
Ocean Park
Ocean Park, part of Old Orchard Beach, was founded in 1881 by Free Will Baptists as an interdenominational summer assembly by the sea. Today, the Ocean Park Association, which is loosely affiliated with the Chautauqua Institution in New York, and is sometimes referred to as Chautaqua-by-the-Sea, offers a variety of programs and concerts during the summer, most of which are open to visitors.
Palace Playland
Located right at The Pier in the center of Old Orchard Beach, Palace Playland is a small beachfront amusement park with more than 25 rides and attractions. Admission is free--you can either buy just a few ride tickets or an all-day unlimited ride pass. Palace Playland also provides Old Orchard Beach's weekly Thursday night fireworks displays.
Rippin’ Lips Charters and Guide Service
You don't need a license for saltwater fishing in Maine, so while you're in Old Orchard Beach, why not book a fishing outing? This charter and fishing guide service operates from the Camp Ellis Pier located at the mouth of the Saco River in Camp Ellis, just about three miles from the center of Old Orchard Beach.
Scarborough Marsh Audubon Center
Located just a short drive from Old Orchard Beach, Scarborough Marsh is Maine's largest salt marsh, and during the summer, it is open to the public to explore on foot or by rented canoe. Guided and self-guided tours are available. Wild inhabitants you might encounter include muskrat, mink, otter and many species of waterbirds.
Trina Lyn Charters
Based in Saco, Maine, about five miles from Old Orchard Beach, this charter service will take you out for a day of striped bass or deep sea fishing.
Westerly Winds Sports Park Golf Learning Center
Westerly Winds in Westbrook, Maine, has a nine-hole pitch and putt golf course, an eighteen-hole miniature golf course, a golf practice range, baseball and softball batting cages, golf lessons and camp programs, plus a playground with slides and dinosaurs to entertain little ones.
