This strawberry margarita recipe was submitted by Mastercook. When strawberries ripen in New England fields in mid-June, make strawberry margaritas at home with this recipe.
Ingredients:
- 1 12-oz. can frozen limeade concentrate
- 12 oz. Tequila (1 can)
- 4 oz. Triple Sec (1/3 can)
- 36 oz. water (3 cans)
- 2 lime slices, peeled
- 24 oz. strawberries (2 cans)
- 60 oz. blended or crushed ice (5 cans)
Preparation:
Use the limeade concentrate can to measure ingredients. Blend all liquid ingredients in a juice blender.
Add strawberries and limes and blend until really thin. Pour drink into a large mixing cup or container.
Put ice into blender (or use an ice shaver), and blend until very fine. Combine ice and drink mix in blender and blend again. Then pour into margarita glasses.
Makes 2 to 6 servings, depending on the size of glasses used.
NOTE: If you have a snow cone maker, this drink will be delightful.
