The Massachusetts island of Nantucket lies 26 miles off the coast of Cape Cod, but a world away, especially in the springtime before summer's crowds arrive.
This twilight view of Nantucket Harbor was taken from the dock across from the White Elephant Hotel, which has been an island landmark since the 1920s. This is the view enjoyed by diners at the hotel's Brant Point Grill. Children's Beach is on the right.
