Nancy Whiting, whose husband inherited land adjoining Harvard Forest that had been in his family since the 1700s, says visitors "really like to choose and cut" their trees. The farm's gift shop is also filled with homespun gifts that will make recipients feel as though you’ve gone out of your way to choose something unique.
