Teresa Emmrich and Gary Orcutt fell in love with a 1742 home in Petersham in 2003. "It was way too big for us," says Emmrich, but they decided: "We'll figure it out."
One night, while flipping channels, she caught an Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association commercial suggesting would-be farmers visit ilovealpacas.com. They toured a nearby farm, and six months later, bought four.
