In my experience, Hartford's Bradley International Airport is one of the easiest airports to navigate. Abundant parking options are one reason that flying from Bradley Airport is a cinch. Here are my picks for the best valet parking and self-park options near Bradley Airport in Windsor Locks, Connecticut.
When I flew for business more frequently, I used to always track which shuttle was the first to arrive while I was standing outside baggage claim anxious to get home. It was always Roncari, so now Roncari is my first choice for airport valet parking service. Roncari's location--less than a mile from Bradley Airport--makes it one of the most efficient parking operators, and I've never been disappointed by their service. 860-627-8201/800-555-6540
Executive Valet Parking is located on the Windsor Locks/Suffield line, making it a convenient choice for those driving to the airport from Springfield. It's not quite as close to the airport as some competitors, but we found their service to be speedy, friendly and helpful (even when we locked our keys in the car!). Be sure to visit Executive's Web site before you fly to take advantage of special Internet rates. 800-218-1297
Formerly called West Side Parking, this valet parking service is west of the airport, so my husband likes to park here because, as he says, it puts us that much closer to home, since we live in the Farmington Valley. I've always found the shuttle drivers who work for Z Airport Parking to be particularly friendly and helpful, and with Internet coupons available on their Web site, it's hard to beat Z's valet parking rates. 860-653-7667
Galaxy is owned by and located adjacent to Roncari. What they have going for them is that they are both cheap and close to the airport. Of course, there's no valet service here, and we once had a terrible experience with a cashier when leaving the parking lot, but if you like the idea of parking yourself and being at the airport in minutes, this may be the choice for you. In the winter, Galaxy will clear the snow off your car, so there's no need to worry about digging out after your trip. 860-627-4931
The Sheraton Bradley is the only hotel located right on airport property. Though this isn't a parking choice for everyone, if you do need to stay overnight before an early morning flight, the hotel offers Stay, Park and Fly packages and the convenience of being located just a short walk from your departure gate. 860-627-5311
LAZ FLY Airport Parking (formerly FastTrack) offers Bradley travelers both valet and self-park options at three Ella Grasso Turnpike locations. Check rates and availability online before you head to the airport, and speed your return home by texting for pickup (860-471-5800) when your flight lands at Bradley. 860-623-0228 (valet)/860-627-7555 (self-park)/860-623-4993 (economy)
Of course, Bradley Airport does have its own long-term and short-term parking lots, including a covered garage with capacity for 3,500 vehicles. Short-term parking is convenient, if expensive, but the best choice if you're meeting someone at the airport. The long-term parking lots are affordable, but we've found that the shuttles that operate between the terminals and the on-site parking lots don't run as frequently or quickly as local commercial services. 860-627-3555
