The Shamrock Squash is an Australian import that has a fascinating, curvaceous shape. This winter squash is edible, but if you ask me, it makes an even better decoration, especially if you want to add an Irish touch to your Halloween.

It truly amazed me that so many different squashes could be grown in Massachusetts. Of course, farmstand owner Todd Brown admits that cultivating rare and unusual breeds requires a willingness to experiment.
