When I joined the Dineberg's Farm CSA, I knew I'd be eating a lot of salad. What I didn't realize was how tasty a simple salad can be when it's composed of ingredients that were literally picked the morning they were delivered. On Friday, I made a salad with red and green lettuce and radishes from the farm, topped with a few croutons and Newman's Own Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing (Compare Prices). It was delicious. Later this summer, I hope to experiment with creating my own homemade salad dressing recipes.

We woke up Sunday morning on a mission to use as many of the vegetables still in our fridge as we could. That meant finding a veggie breakfast recipe, of course. We had a large bunch of sweet basil from the farm, so I was delighted to find About.com Southern Food Guide Diana Rattray's wonderful recipe for Scrambled Eggs with Basil. Plain scrambled eggs won't ever cut it again, I'm afraid.
