After two days of alternating downpours and drizzle, skies are blue here in Connecticut today, and as you can see from this latest view outside my window, the colors of fall are really starting to come on. Forecasters say we'll pick up another inch or two of rain tomorrow and Friday morning before skies clear for a spectacular autumn weekend. Although rain causes some leaves to drop, it's really a good thing. After the dry summer we had in Connecticut, this burst of moisture may help trees hold their leaves longer, extending the color show.
