Ah, fall! There is no doubt we're in the midst of it now, and the colors in my view are as vivid as they're bound to be. I feared I'd have to share a gloomy scene with you today: I shot a first batch of photos just after noontime in the cold, drizzly rain. But shortly after 3 p.m., the sun suddenly popped, illuminating rich copper and gold tones. The peak seems to have arrived early this year, but there are still green-leafed trees that will keep the kaleidoscope changing for at least another week.
