Suddenly, fall colors are popping out before our eyes here in Connecticut. There's a tree not far from me that has erupted in the most stunning shade of deep orange I've ever seen, and in my view, the leaves have brightened considerably. I'm seeing more gold than I expected this early in October, and recent rains have sent the first wimpy leaves tumbling to the ground. With temperatures due to warm briefly at the tail end of this week, I'm hoping the trees will be fooled into thinking it's too soon to shed any more of their glorious plumage.
