We had gusty winds and heavy rain overnight, but the stormy weather seems to have only refreshed the leaves in my view. Perhaps you can detect a glint of gold, but after being in the Adirondacks at the start of this week--where there are definite pops of foliage color--I am seeing only green. While the leaves may not be changing here in Connecticut yet, the weather has certainly taken a turn for the cooler. I may have to relent before long and pack away shorts and tank tops to make room in my closet for cozy sweaters and corduroys.
