Head of the Charles Regatta
The Head of the Charles Regatta is the largest fall spectator sport in New England. Watch rowers from around the world compete from vantage points in Boston and Cambridge. The 2008 race is scheduled for October 18-19.
Boston Celtics Pre-Season Basketball
The Boston Celtics' 2008 pre-season schedule in New England starts with an October 8 game vs. the Philadelphia 76ers at the Mullins Center at UMass in Amherst, Massachusetts, and the Celtics will also play pre-season games vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island, on October 10 and vs. the Houston Rockets at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire, on October 11. The Celtics will also play two pre-season games at the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston on October 17 (against the New York Knick) and October 19 (against the New Jersey Nets). Find all of the schedule and ticket information you need if you want to cheer on the Brown University Division I-AA football team in Providence, Rhode Island. Upcoming home opponents are: Stony Brook September 20, Harvard September 27, Cornell October 25, Yale November 8 and Columbia November 22.

Syracuse University's Big East football team will meet a variety of opponents at the Carrier Dome this year.
