Oversized Decorations Make Connecticut's Mohegan Sun Casino a Holiday Wonderland

The Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut, has always impressed visitors with its larger-than-life displays, including the world's largest planetarium dome and the massive Taughannick Falls. For the fifth year in 2009, Mohegan Sun will host its World of Holiday Marvels featuring an amazing collection of over-the-top decorations, including towering Christmas trees, four-foot ornaments and life-like "ice" creatures. The pièce de résistance will again be a life-sized, walk-through gingerbread house. This year's 28-foot-tall edible abode is composed of 6,525 gingerbread bricks and is guarded by four 7-foot soldiers made of chocolate and Rice Krispies. Also this year: A gingerbread gazebo will serve as a gift wrap booth through December 24.
