The Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut, has always impressed visitors with its larger-than-life displays, including the world's largest planetarium dome and the massive Taughannick Falls. For the eighth year in 2012, Mohegan Sun hosts its World of Holiday Marvels featuring an amazing collection of over-the-top decorations, including towering Christmas trees, four-foot ornaments and life-like "ice" creatures. The pièce de résistance is once again a life-sized, walk-through gingerbread house. This year's 24-foot-tall edible abode is composed of 6,525 gingerbread bricks and is guarded by four 7-foot soldiers made of chocolate and Rice Krispies. Also this year: Many Mohegan Sun restaurants are offering holiday dining deals.
