The Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut, has always impressed visitors with its larger-than-life displays, including the world's largest planetarium dome and the massive Taughannick Falls. For the fourth year in 2008, Mohegan Sun will host its World of Holiday Marvels featuring an amazing collection of over-the-top decorations, including towering Christmas trees, four-foot ornaments and life-like "ice" creatures. The pièce de résistance will again be a life-sized, walk-through gingerbread house. This year's 24-foot-tall edible abode is composed of 6,525 gingerbread bricks held together with more than 4,500 pounds of icing. New this year: A gingerbread gazebo will serve as a gift wrap booth and food drive drop-off location through December 24.
