the therapeutic value of chicken soup was undisputed even before
the Chicken Soup for the Soul books affirmed that the concoction could
cure a multitude of ills, New Englanders have known for just as long that a piping hot
bowl of clam chowder has just as much power to warm the heart and chase off the chills of
impending winter. New England's name is no more linked to any other dish than clam
chowder.
I've scoured the Internet for some great recipes from New England if you're ambitious enough to undertake cooking up your own batch and for some resources for ordering New England clam chowders online.
