Three Days of Peace, Love, and Music...
on the Web!

Dateline: 07/23/99

Three Days of Peace, Love, and Music begin this weekend in Rome, New York, at the 30th anniversary Woodstock concert. Can't be there in person? In 1969 or even in 1994, you'd have been pretty much out of luck! But, thanks to the Net, you can share in the fervor of Woodstock '99 without leaving home.

Come with me on a psychedelic virtual tour of groovy places to "watch" Woodstock on the Web this weekend.

First Stop... The Woodstock Webcast. Woodstock.com, the official site for Woodstock '99, has your Webstage pass to all of the action in Rome... from home! Sign up now, and you'll receive an email letting you know when it's time to park yourself in front of your mud-free monitor for a sampling of the sights and scenes. You'll also get to "watch" artist interviews and can tap into audio feeds from the two festival stages.

Second Stop... Woodstock Chat and the Woodstock Message Board. Also from the official Woodstock site, if you can't be at the festival, you'd might as well spend the weekend chatting with fans who are in a similar predicament.

Third Stop... The Unofficial Woodstock '99 Photo Archive. Catch a glimpse of what's going on at Woodstock by perusing these photos submitted by concertgoers. Photos of the festival grounds are already posted!

Fourth Stop... Psychedelize your own photos. From Kodak, your friends will think you were at Woodstock '99 when you show them the photos you uploaded and psychedelized.

Fifth Stop... The Woodstock '99 Registry. This site offers those in attendance at Woodstock '99 to post their pictures and reflections. Not going? Join others spectating via modem in the Woodstock chat room or on the message board.

Sixth Stop... WOUR Live Broadcast. 96.9 WOUR in Utica will be broadcasting live from Woodstock '99, and you can listen to it all at broadcastmusic.com.

Seventh Stop... NetRadio's Woodstock Channel. Listen online to your choice of three Woodstock channels: Woodstock 99, Woodstock 99 Information, or Woodstock 69.

Eighth Stop... Woodstock Photo Tour. The Rome Daily Sentinel provides this virtual tour of Woodstock '99. It's your chance to get closer to the murals and other sights at the festival than many who are in attendance probably will!

Last Stop... Festival News from the Rome Daily Sentinel. The local Rome newspaper brings you images and stories straight from the festival site. Watch for daily updates.

Here's to peace, love, and music in your life, wherever you are this weekend!
