Ally
McBeal Songstress Performs in Hartford
Vonda Shepard, whose "Songs from Ally McBeal" album has been smoking up the charts, performs July 2 at the Webster Theatre in Hartford, Connecticut. This is a great opportunity to see the sultry singer in an intimate setting, not entirely different from the atmosphere of the club in which she serenades the new stars of the popular Fox show. Five bars with seating areas, as well as auditorium-style seating, make this a unique concert venue. For ticket information, call the Webster at (860) 525-5553. Advance sale, general admission tickets are $19.50 and may be reserved by credit card by calling: (860) 422-0000.
Share Arthur's World
Now through September 7, kids who are fans of Arthur the aardvark from the TV show and
the book series by Marc Brown can visit Arthur's World at The Children's Museum in Boston.
The exhibit features a recreation of some of Arthur's favorite places, including the Town
Library and the Read Family Kitchen. The show also features a children's theatrical
production and appearances by Arthur himself. Arthur's World is included in the museum's
regular admission price: $6 for children under age seven and $7 for all other visitors.
Consider getting tickets in advance, as the museum is expecting a busy summer. Does your
child have a summer birthday? Believe it or not, the museum hosts sleepover visits for
groups of youngsters. An overnight with Arthur is an adventure your child will remember
for a lifetime.
