The Hartford Courant provides a preview of the Sunken Garden Poetry Festival, which opens June 10 for its seventh season. The annual Festival, the largest free poetry reading event in the United States, features seven poets on seven evenings, beginning with award-winning poet Carolyn Forche on June 10 at 7:30 p.m. To hear a sample of Forche reading one of her poems, call The Hartford Courant's toll-free number, 800 246-8070 and enter 7636 (P-O-E-M) as your source code.
