This excellent restaurant has been open a little over a year and is housed in a beautifully restored 1804 house on Main Street in Wareham. The food is delicious, and portions are generous, with something for every taste. My favorite is the Prime Rib, served with a light-as-air popover and fresh vegetable medley. Dessert is homemade and always scrumptious! Try the warm brownie sundae! The main dining room includes a fireplace, which is crackling on cold nights. The "Lincoln Room" overlooks a terraced garden which is lovely at any time of the year, bursting with perennials and a wide variety of herbs. There are two other smaller dining rooms, including one whimsically decorated with teapots. This is a great place to stop on the way to the Cape.
