Rock Ledge Manor Guest Review submitted by: Patricia Rating: Four Gold Leaves. Very good.
I stayed at Rock Ledge Manor in Rye, New Hampshire, for the first time and was very pleased! The location, with fabulous ocean views from every angle, is beyond compare. There are three guest rooms, a large dining/living area, private deck and huge wrap-around porch. We stayed in the yellow room on the first floor: queen bed, private bath, air conditioner and wonderful ocean views from every window. It is a comfortable inn, nicely decorated, with a relaxed atmosphere overall. New owners are keeping the inn with the previous owner's basic style, but they were also making improvements daily during our stay. Bathrooms are on the small side (no whirlpool tubs), which is typical in a house that old. Guests have a refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, microwave and all kitchen necessities at their disposal at any time. Innkeepers Karen and Noel Rix were very welcoming and accommodating to any requests. Grounds are quite large, with expansive gardens. Great views, oceanfront location and accommodations in a lovely old Victorian-style beach house. This was our first trip to Rye, and we plan to go back next summer. |
