6/21/99 - Aerosmith Drops Woodstock '99 - Wall of Sound reports on Aerosmith's announcement that the band will not play Woodstock '99 after all.

5/28/99 - Woodstock's On - Phew! The Rome Daily Sentinel reports that promoters reached an agreement with state police on security issues just four hours before a drop dead deadline of 4 p.m. on May 27. The show will go on!

5/26/99 - No Woodstock? - The Rome Daily Sentinel is reporting that if a deadline of 4 p.m. Thursday, May 27 for negotiating a contract between local police and Woodstock promoters is not met, the festival will be a no go! Follow updates at the Rome Daily Sentinel's Woodstock '99 Web site.

5/19/99 - Beck's Back Off - From the Rome Daily Sentinel, due to a scheduling conflict, guitarist Jeff Beck won't play Woodstock '99 after all!

5/9/99 - Jeff Beck Will Finally Play Woodstock - From the official Woodstock '99 site, Jeff Beck, who missed the '69 festival because his band, The Jeff Beck Group, broke up a week before, joins the list of confirmed performers for this year's event. Other bands recently added to the line-up: Everclear, Godsmack, Lit, Kid Rock, and Mike Ness.

4/7/99 - Rumored Headliners Include Aerosmith, Sheryl Crow, Korn, Metallica & Morissette - The official festival Web site relays rumors reported by The New York Times and L.A. Times.
