Picture of Kayak on Walden Pond in Concord MA

Fans of literature and history aren't the only ones drawn to Walden Pond, the famous body of water preserved within Walden Pond State Reservation in Concord, Massachusetts. The state park is also a perfect place for a variety of outdoor pursuits including paddling--non-motorized boats such as canoes and kayaks are permitted on the pond, and a boat launch and parking access are available. Other popular outdoor activities at Walden Pond include walking, hiking, swimming, fishing and cross-country skiing.
