Franconia Notch, New Hampshire, has a new exhibit devoted to extreme skiing: "Over the Headwall: Nine Decades of

Okemo in southern Vermont anounces that they are 100% open in time for the Martin
Luther King holiday weekend! All 98 trails are in operation, and there's plenty of natural
snow. Next week is Okemo Valley Winter Fest 99, January 18 - 23 featuring a snow
sculpture contest, broom hockey, ice skating, chocolate night, on-snow golf tournament, a

Makes Skiing Affordable
Arthur Frommer's BudgetTravel online reported recently that American
Youth Hostels, part of Hostelling
International, offers overnight accommodations near American ski resorts, including
some in Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts, for low rates of $7 to $25
per night. The article also states, "If you haven't stayed in a hostel by now, you
should know that they are NOT restricted to young people, all ages being welcome."

When you're on a site with frames and want to
bookmark, you've probably found out that it's not as easy as choosing "bookmark"
or "favorite" from the menu.
So, here's how you can trick your browser:
PC - When you're on a page you want to bookmark, right click on the page. A menu will
pop up with a bookmark (or favorite) option. Select the option, and that page (without the
frame) will be bookmarked.
Mac - Click and hold to pop up a menu. The new window will either show you the URL, or,
on newer browsers, will let you "Open in a New Window."
