Gloria: Sails Silhouetted

Against the overcast skies at OpSail 2000 in New London, Connecticut, tall ship Gloria's masts and sails are silhouetted. Gloria is 249 feet in length and is known as one of the first tall ships to use modern scientific techniques in its construction. Actual tests of the rigging were conducted in a wind tunnel.
