Shopping Shelburne Falls
Massachusetts Village Has
Delightful Shops and Galleries to Explore

The Village of Shelburne Falls will delight shoppers with its cute stores and galleries, many which feature the works of local craftspeople and artists.

My two favorite shops are both located near the Glacial Potholes:

North River Glass Studio and Gallery (Deerfield Avenue, 413-625-6422) is the working "shop" of glass artists Christopher Constantin and Kathleen Young. Watch glassblowers at work and purchase exquisite finished pieces in the attached gallery.

Mole Hollow Candles (Deerfield Avenue, 413-625-6789) has been hand making candles since 1969, and Shelburne Falls is home to one of the company's factory stores and gift shops, where you'll find much more than candles. If you're looking for a bargain, be sure to check their selection of "seconds."

Over by the Bridge of Flowers, if you're looking to grab a bite to eat, pop into McCusker's Specialty Foods Market & Deli (3 State Street, 413-625-9411), where you'll find a nice array of sandwiches including many vegetarian selections. I had a wonderful turkey and muenster cheese sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and sprouts on a wheat sunflower roll. Mmm!

Other Shops to Explore:

Ann Brauer Quilt Shop
2 Conway Street, 413-625-8605
Featuring contemporary quilts, wall hangings, and quilted purses, potholders, and pillows.

Bald Mountain Pottery

Vases, lamps, and other pottery items are made right here.

Blacksmith Shoppe
44 State Street, 413-625-6291
A multi-dealer antiques, crafts, and collectibles shop.

Salmon Falls Artisans Showroom
1 Ashfield Street, 413-625-9833
Features the works of nearly 200 regional artists.

The Whistling Crow
20 Bridge Street, 413-625-2595
A nature and wildlife lover's gift store.
