| Mashantucket Pequot Museum Celebrates the Fruit of Summer | ||||||||||||||||
On Friday, June 12, 2009, celebrate the strawberry harvest at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center in Mashantucket, Connecticut, a five-minute shuttle bus ride from Foxwoods Casino.
The Strawberry Thanksgiving event runs from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. and features traditional singing and dancing, Native American games for children, appearances by Narragansett storyteller Paulla Dove Jennings at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and other activities. Admission to the Strawberry Celebration is free with regular museum admission.
