| Mashantucket Pequot Museum Celebrates the Fruit of Summer | ||||||||||||||||
On Friday and Saturday, June 10 and 11, 2011, celebrate the strawberry harvest at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center in Mashantucket, Connecticut, a five-minute drive from Foxwoods Casino.
The Strawberry Thanksgiving event runs from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day and features a puppet show, storytelling, Native games, the chance to sip a strawberry drink and other activities. The Wampanoag Nation Singers and Dancers perform Saturday at 1 p.m. Admission to the Strawberry Celebration is free with regular museum admission.
