A Monster of a Balloon

monster hot air balloon in salem

It was just as I feared! The hot air balloon monster was even more terrifying when viewed from the front. And with the wind picking up, not only was his big green monster head waving all about, it was actually touching down and bopping the ground! Frightened Salem visitors were dancing and dodging this mighty, evil-looking thing until the balloon operators finally decided for safety purposes to let the hot air out of the green-eyed, big-eared, fanged creature. And as his green features sagged and he sank to the ground, it was my cue to head home--after all, I didn't know if my little heart could take running into that pale guy again after dark!
