Building a New World

According to the Plimoth Plantation Web site, "It is one of the many myths about the Pilgrims that as soon as they landed they started to make candles, weave cloth, build furniture and create other necessities with their own hands." Even seven years after they landed in Plymouth, building houses is still one of the high priority tasks for Pilgrim men, as evidenced by the work that goes on in the 1627 recreated Pilgrim village.
