October 6, 2004
There is just a bit more color creeping into my view, with the oranges in the
distance somewhat more pronounced this week. Temperatures dipped below freezing
for the first time last night, so there's a good chance that the rate of color
change will accelerate in the days ahead. Still, there are a lot of stubbornly
green trees, and we're at least a week away from maximum foliage coloration here
in central Connecticut.
