September 29, 2004
I zoomed in a bit this week because if you look very carefully, you'll see a few
signs of early leaf color in the distance behind the still-green trees that are
in the foreground of my view. Here in Connecticut, we've had quite a bit of rain
over the past two days as the remnants of Hurricane Jeanne have passed through,
so for the first time, there are some leaves down on the roads and in my yard.
It's beginning to feel a lot like fall, though peak color is still probably at
least two weeks away.
