The Printing Office

Inside the Printing Office, visitors gain an appreciation for just how laborious the printing process was prior to computers! Watch the entire process from typesetting to inking to printing within this historic structure, built circa 1780 in Worcester, Massachusetts, and moved to Old Sturbridge Village in 1951. Here, a history interpreter interacts with children as she demonstrates the techniques of book stitching and binding.
