Thompson Bank

The Thompson Bank was moved from its original location in nearby Thompson, Connecticut, to Old Sturbridge Village in 1963. The building, which dates to 1835, was designed in the popular Greek Revival style of the era. The early 19th century was a time when the number of commercial banks in New England grew, and loans were a boon to the growth of industry and trade.
