The Tin Shop

The Tin Shop - Picture - Old Sturbridge Village

At the Tin Shop, Old Sturbridge Village visitors can see tinplated sheet iron shaped into a variety of functional objects such as teapots and lanterns. "Tinners" use shears, hammers, punches and stakes to add the tinware's decorative elements. Though not an historic structure, the Tin Shop is modeled after those found in New England beginning in the 1830s.
