Maine Moose Safari: A Photojournal

Dateline: 06/23/99

- Scene 2 -

The West Branch Tour is one of the half-day excursion options regularly offered by Maine-ly Photos, and it includes stops at Nesowadnehunk Falls to watch whitewater rafters in action and the Ripogenous Dam, built by Great Northern Paper in the 1950s to supply hydroelectric power to the company's mills.

It was everything Debby and I could do not to abandon our tour guide, Dale, and hijack a raft!
