Catch a Wave

Picture - Children Playing in the Waves at Hampton Beach in NH

Why is Hampton Beach so crowded in the summer? Well, for starters, unlike neighboring New Hampshire beaches, Hampton Beach is open free to the public. Of course, you'll pay a premium for parking. Many families choose Hampton Beach because the waves are tame enough so as not to intimidate young children, yet they roll in with enough "oomph" to keep teens and adults happy.
