Knight of the Purple Plume

OK, I don't know that they called Duke Johann Philipp von Weimar the "knight of the purple plume," but that's certainly an apt name for this photo of his armor from our tour of the Higgins Armory Museum in Worcester. This Jousting Armor for the Tilt was made in Germany of steel, gold, brass and leather.
