New England Q&A Archive

Question 46 - October 3, 2000

I am a fourth grade teacher, and we are studying New England. I would love any and all information I could get on the sights of New England. Is there a place I can contact, or could you hook me up with someone who could help me get this information? I work with children who do not travel much. Some of the children have never seen the ocean or mountains. Posters would be wonderful. If you could help me that would be wonderful. Thanks, Karen K.

Answer from Kim Knox,
About.com Guide to New England for Visitors:

Dear Karen,

I have a page on my site called "How to Request Free New England Brochures by Phone" that you should find helpful. These are all toll-free numbers for the various state tourism offices, which will be more than happy to send you a variety of brochures and perhaps even some posters and other materials that you might use in class.

If you have Internet access available in the classroom, I have a bounty of resources for visiting New England "virtually" that you may find helpful as well.

I hope that helps!

All best wishes,
Kim Knox
