New England Q&A Archive

Question 35 - April 16, 2000

Just read your review of Salem, MA. Am thinking of visiting but would like to get some bike riding in also. Do you know if there are any rail trails in Salem?
Thanks,
Brenda

Answer from Kim Knox,
About.com Guide to New England for Visitors:

Hi Brenda,

The Marblehead Rail-Trail has a Salem spur. For rail trail information, visit:
http://www.railtrails.org/

Select the link in the left menu to U.S. Trail Info Center. Then, click the link that says "Click here to try our new interactive trail search!" Select the state of Massachusetts, and you'll find information on this trail, along with other rail trails in the state.

Hope this helps!

All best wishes,
Kim Knox
