New England Q&A Archive

Question 34 - March 19, 2000

Hello,
We are planning on driving to Woodstock, Vermont, for our honeymoon and wish to stop off of Route 91 and see the "longest covered bridge," the Windsor-Cornish covered bridge. Could you please provide driving directions from Route 91 North? I have looked everywhere for this bridge's exact location with no luck!

Thank you,
Laura

Answer from Kim Knox,

Hi Laura!

Here are some Web pages that may help you to find the covered bridge...

A photo, and while no specific directions, reference is made to the location as being off Route 5 in Windsor Village.

Refers to the location as being east of Route 5.

The state of New Hampshire actually owns and maintains the bridge, so you may be able to obtain more specific directions by phoning the New Hampshire Office of Travel & Tourism Development toll free at 800 FUN IN NH (800 386-4664).

I hope this is helpful.

All best wishes,
Kim Knox
