New England Q&A Archive
Question 19 - September 26, 1999
Can you recommend an online site for downloading a complete map of New England?
- Rickey B.
Answer from Kim Knox,
About.com Guide to New England for Visitors:
Hi Rickey,
You'll find map links on my site at http://gonewengland.about.com/msubmap.htm.
Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any organization that makes a complete road atlas for New
England (I assume that is what you're looking for) available free. I can highly recommend
Mobil's Northeast Guide--it's got great maps and reliable information on lodgings and
restaurants for this area. I never leave home without it! You'll find more info about the
book under my bookstore page.
It's available for online ordering from Borders.com for $13.56, and I'm sure you could
find it at your local bookstore, as well.
I can also highly recommend MapQuest for free
point-to-point driving directions within New England. If you've never used it and need
assistance, let me know and I'd be glad to walk you through it.
Hope this is helpful!
All best wishes,
Kim Knox
