Moonlight Madness in Freeport on Black Friday
Freeport, Maine, is the place to be on Black Friday this year, and Amtrak will get you there for just $5 each way aboard special Downeaster line trains scheduled to arrive in downtown Freeport at 10:35 p.m. on Thursday, November 27, and 2:05 a.m. on Black Friday, November 28. Trains return from Freeport at 4:40 a.m. Santa will lead a Midnight Mile Fun Run down Main Street at midnight on his red Harley to start the event, which features shopping deals at dozens of outlets, boutiques and specialty stores including famed retailer L.L. The Boston Symphony Orchestra will offer $20 concert tickets to patrons under the age of 40 during the remainder of the 2014-2015 Symphony Hall season. Tickets are normally priced from $30 to $145.
