While neither of my treatment rooms had windows, the Spa Quiet Room, a common area where you can sip tea before or after spa services, has spectacular views of the craggy Maine coast. The spa at The Cliff House also has a massage room with a spectacular ocean view (see photo above). Even better, in-room massages on your own balcony overlooking the ocean are also available for those staying in the adults-only spa building. The massage menu at The Cliff House Resort & Spa includes traditional Swedish Massage, plus Stone Massage, a Stress Relief Massage that incorporates aromatic anti-stress oils, a Sports/Deep Tissue Massage and an Acu-Roma Massage that utilizes aromatic essential oils selected to de-stress, detoxify, energize, relax or ease muscular aches and pains, depending upon the individual needs of the guest.
Nail services are also offered by the spa, but there are no salon services. All spa services are available to both resort guests and non-guests, though there is an additional charge for those who are not staying at The Cliff House.
If romance and rejuvenation are on your mind, a spa getaway at The Cliff House is the perfect choice. During warm weather months, the adults-only vanishing edge outdoor pool outside the spa is the perfect hangout. In the winter, the 75-foot indoor lap pool is a fine substitute, though you may be just as content splitting your time between the spa and your spa room, which comes standard with a king bed and a gas fireplace.
The Cliff House is located on Shore Road in Ogunquit on the southern Maine coast, about 70 miles north of Boston and 40 miles south of Portland.
