Elephant's Trunk Country Flea Market
Route 7
New Milford, CT

A browser's Mecca, with the largest outdoor market in New England and the largest indoor market in Connecticut. Opens for business in April on a big open field on Route 7 south of town, packed with over 300 dealers selling a bit of everything--antiques, tools, plants, books, new clothing, used furniture, toys, electronic equipment and more. Weather permitting, the market runs every Sunday until mid-December. Early browsers are admitted at 5:45 a.m. for an extra fee; general admission begins at 7 a.m., and the flea market closes at 2 p.m.

Kent Memorial Library Summer Book Sale

Book lovers should visit Kent, Connecticut, where book sales are held each weekend throughout the summer and early fall. The selection changes hourly and includes books for readers of all ages and interests.

100 or so dealers are found year-round at this big indoor flea market held Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Woodbury Antiques and Flea Market
787 Main Street/Route 6

Saturdays, mid-March through December, weather permitting

A fixture since 1967, this flea market returns in mid-March each year with about 120 dealers from throughout New England. The event is held on Main Street (Route 6), about 1/4 mile below the junction of Routes 6 and 64, on Saturdays from 5:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. through December. Also visit the 40 upscale antique shops located on Woodbury's historic Main Street.

Wright's Barn and Flea Market

This year-round indoor treasure trove is located on Wright Road off Route 4 in Torrington. About 40 dealers are usually on hand selling antiques and collectibles each Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
