A Travel Guide for Newport, Rhode Island

Newport Travel Guide Quick Links:Attractions| Maps | Dining | Shopping | B&Bs | Hotels | Vacation Rentals | Sports | Web Cams

Newport, Rhode Island, is definitely one of New England's must-see places. And if you've already been to Newport--go back! A second visit to this seaside city at the southern tip of Aquidneck Island is particularly warranted if you've only seen Newport in the summer, when the area's population quadruples each year. My absolute favorite time to visit Newport is actually the weekend after Thanksgiving, when crowds have subsided, the cold hasn't quite taken hold and the magnificent mansions are outfitted in stunning holiday dress.
