Peach Recipes from New England

August is Peach Season in New England

By Kim Knox Beckius, About.com

An email newsletter I received from Lookout Farm in South Natick, Massachusetts (where you can, by the way, pick your own peaches), said that peaches are the second largest commercial fruit crop in the United States--second only to apples.

August is peach picking season in New England, and the farm markets and grocery stores are beginning to display fragrant, fuzzy, juicy and delightful peaches grown locally. Whether you pick your own peaches or simply purchase them, here are some peach recipes direct from New England that take full advantage of the flavor of fresh peaches.
